Game Feedback


I submitted my game to some streamers (see the game page description), and here, I will log their feedback. Some of these things I already knew to some extent, but the order of the feedback is still important to note the order to see which is most important. Some of these can be used as game tips to reach for a higher score!

Will edit this post to add more feedback when I get it.

Superslim:

  1. Punish the player for not hitting an enemy (he mentions reload time - I'd invoke it only upon missing)
  2. Score and gameplay should be integrated (they are, but the scoring system should be clearer)
  3. The enemies shouldn't spawn next to the player (already remedied, to an extent, by approach squares)
  4. Lining up enemies is a great mechanic (yes it is~)

ProdigalSonGames:

  1. Accidentally clicking on the game window on the title screen starts the game (will add proper menus)
  2. Nse, ance, nse, ance (You can listen to the music here!)
  3. Clicking randomly works more than it should (see #1 point of Superslim's)
  4. Death (Damage) happens so quickly he doesn't even realize it (slow down and highlight the thing that damaged you)

  5. Mouse-only gameplay makes the game a lot easier to get into
  6. Approach squares help a lot

Tac0manguy:

  1. Me: no!! you can't just shoot randomly, that ruines the POINT of the gamee!!! | Tac0manguy: haha madman laser go brrr
  2. The multiple enemy types make the game both harder and more interesting (will add more enemies in more modes)
  3. Managing all the enemies is a heck of an experience
  4. Death is frustratingly easy (I may add a lives system)
  5. The music is perfect (yes it is~ You can listen to the music here!)
  6. Merit exists for building up the enemies, but you have to measure your greed against your dexterity/skill
